Only a few hours left to vote, as Wildlife Survivor prepares for the next patch. The next upcoming patches, they will address current issues with the existing demo build.
Bug/Issue | Description | Solution/Change
Hunger/Thirst revamp | The current state of hunger and thirst can be very confusing for players. Currently, the screen gets blurry and has a beeping sound when the player is getting thirsty. However some did not even know they were getting thirsty. Similar for hunger, except the screen starts to fade black. The player was also required to eat enough food before beating the game. Meaning they should fill their (invisible) hunger bar to 100 before sleeping. | Next patch will remove the requirement for 100 hunger to beat the game. Hunger and thirst will have visible bars along with text to warn the player of their current status. Screen FX for hunger and thirst might be removed or greatly toned down.
Falling into the water | It’s quite easy to “fall” into the water while trying to drink. In emergency situations, drinking underwater is not possible and the player must climb their way back up to drink the water. Due to limited amount of time, proper water physics were not added. | While this may not come next patch, I’d like to add swimming soon as the current lack of water physics is quite frustrating. The player will also be able to drink the water while swimming on the surface.
Slippery Controls and Movement | The player will have more responsive movement and tighter movement so that they can adjust their position more precisely.
Floating Trees | There are floating trees found around certain parts of the map which are a little bit distracting | Next patch might not fix all floating trees, but the floating trees that I could find while roaming around the map. Most floating trees should be fixed next patch.
Canyon Maze Wolf is harmless | A few may have encountered this wolf in a maze like setting. This wolf can be quite scary until the player realises they cannot get hurt by it. | This is already fixed and ready for next patch.
End Road Wolf travels through entrance walls | This wolf can travel through the entrance walls to it’s arena, where it’s guarding the bunny. | Next patch will update the wolf’s AI navmesh.
Bunnies are too hard to find | Currently, it’s VERY difficult to find bunnies around the map and the player can go for a long time without any progress. | Bunnies might be getting an outline around them and the player will be noted through text that they sense a bunny is nearby.
Lack of options | Quality settings for lower end computers and mouse sensitivity should roll in future patches
Optimization | Game has received some slight optimisation, ready for next patch. Might not be drastic performance boost but the game will now only render objects that the player sees.
Lack of sprint bar | Sprint/stamina bar is getting added next patch or so. Similar with hunger and thirst.
