Memories of time is a series of 3 short devlogs that talk about the game events from the past.

UnderBoard was released on the 26th of December 2023, originally it was just meant to be an event but the whole project grew too big.
The beginning
I started working on UnderBoard around the end of 2022, back then it went by the name SoulBound. It was meant to be a simple undertale-styled jackbox-kinda game packed with multiplayer minigames.
After doing some progress on the minigames (thanks to one of my friends) I got an idea to make... Twitter, but Undertale.
And that's pretty much when UnderBoard was born in my head.
But why?
The reason why I started working on UnderBoard in the first place is because I was absolutely burnt out and I needed to either work on something new or take a looong break.
Breaks aren't fun.
UnderBoard was me, finally experimenting and working on something fun, it really helped me and it had a positive impact on my gamedev skills.
Work in progress
Over the months of development, there were many design changes in the game, many of the them were suggested by my wonderful testers.
(Fun fact, there were over 12 testing sessions, thanks to that UnderBoard was pretty much bug-less on release.)
On the left, old profile preview, and on the right the final one.
Here's an early screenshot of the whole main scene. The outline for the coins is missing, the dog didn't have any animations yet and there was no comments count.
At first, the dog was only meant to stay in one place and.. just look nice. I decided it would be fun if it walked around and annoyed you.
During testing, there were many weird and hilarious bugs, I wish I could post all of them but it would be way too long lol.
Luckily we managed to find all of them and fix them all before release.
The shop went through the biggest re-design.
Closing remarks
The most liked post (except for the default welcome one) is made by @raysmalgy
I could talk about the development of UnderBoard for a really long time (especially about the global chat), after all, it took almost a year to finish it.
I really like it. But I do regret spending so much time on it instead of UTMP.
UnderBoard is a finished game, I will never make a new update for it, but I will keep it playable for as long as I'm here, from what I've seen some people still play it once in a while, there's over 6000 posts as of right now.
I will never forget all the fun memories.
