Hey, guys, it’s me, MHT. Since we’ve been kicking things into high gear, and want to get the team running again, we realized that we were rather short on programmers. Because of that, I have some news for you programmers out there!
Considering we only have 3 programmers for 3 games total, we will definitely need more muscle. If you’d like to put your skills to the test for this intentionally high-quality series, you’re more than welcome to apply as a programmer for Team Razed!
Excited yet? I hope so! Here’s the requirements and how to apply:
No age requirement, just be mature in your decision making, and don’t be upset if an idea of yours is turned down. Be a good sport!
We would prefer if you had time to actually participate. We wouldn’t want people volunteering and getting in, then not doing anything.
Be prepared to work with others (as well as someone else’s engine), because all three of these games are intended to go under one .exe file, and that won’t change.
Make sure you have Gamemaker Studio 1.4. It used to be free until a patch around February of this year, so to acquire your own copy, you must buy a copy of Gamemaker Studio 2 (as GMS 1.4 comes in a bundle with GMS 2), which costs almost $100. There’s no way around this anymore, we’re sorry. :(
EDIT: We just now learned that GMS 1.4 doesn’t come with GMS 2 anymore. There is currently no way to obtain GMS 1.4, so this will likely lead to a shift in development toward GMS 2. If you have GMS 1.4, that’s wonderful, but be prepared to migrate later, meaning you would have to spend a lot. Again, we’re sorry, but the age of GMS 1.4 is coming to a close, and YoYo Games is really cracking down on making us use their newer product. You’ll need a Discord account to contact us. What’s Discord? Why, it’s an absolute god-send! It’s an organized, channel-based texting service designed for gamers and communities like us! Even if you don’t join the team, Discord is a very recommended service for many people.
Once you reach our server on Discord, be sure to read the rules and agree to them in the Welcome channel, then head over to the DT-DTTO_Discussion channel to apply! Be sure to provide examples of your talent, such as content you’ve created with your programming skills, or other projects you’ve worked on. Due to your skill being programming, we may need some extra time to process you.
Not wanting to apply to be a dev? That’s okay! Want to hang out with other Demolitale fans and meet the developers, get early or exclusive sneak peeks, and have some fun? Be sure to drop by our Discord server, which supports all 3 Demolitale games together! We’d love to have you here; just be sure to read and agree to the rules in the Welcome channel first!

Aaand, that’s it! I’m really excited to hear from you guys! If you decide to drop in- applying or not, we’d love to have more company. Hope to see you around!
