More progress! Tweaked the camera to be less nauseating, updated the UI, and added a sick GameJolt API integration! Our game will be supporting Trophies when it's released!


We've made some great progress although we can't release it until the voting for #advjam2021 is over. if you're dying for some content you can check out this temporary page on Itch.io. Anyways, here's the overview:

Camera Tweaks

Camera should now be less nauseating/motion sickness inducing, we've gotten that comment a few times, but let us know if it needs to be tuned down some more. This is our first time coding a camera, let alone in a 3d environment.

UI Update

We changed the UI from a clunky 5 heart system to a smoother health & stamina bar.

In game this is rotated sideways

The bigger bar is used for health and the smaller one is for stamina!

Not only this, but the UI boxes for buttons, and talking to people has been updated to fit our style.

We also added a neat pause menu, along with basic settings. For those that play the dev release, there will be more to come, we just added the necessities for now.

Game API Integration

Lastly for today, we added the GameJolt API to our game using the Unity API by infected_bytes. Currently, we only support trophies for those using the GameJolt client, so sorry for those who try the Itch.io release, trophies will have to wait until the release on GameJolt! The game will automatically log you in and award you trophies as your earn them.
