Note: There’s a new animated screenshot in this article but you have to read all the way to the bottom to see it. Sorry, not sorry.
Wow, it’s already been 3 weeks since the demo. I hope you all liked it! If you have any feedback to share (good or bad), I’d of course love to hear it. It’s still early in development, but now’s as good a time to any to make sure the product I’m making is one people enjoy.
Anyway, what I’m really here to share are my development plans for the next few months. You can expect to see some of these (not necessarily in any logical order) soon:
More weapons! I’m currently working on the revamped Fusion Lance for Nightmare. It’s coming along quite nicely, actually. Even if a lot of the animations are shamelessly copied from Ignition.
The shop! Yes, what’s the point of all these weapons if there’s nowhere cool to go and buy them? Unlike in Ignition, this shop is an in-game location you can walk around in, and will have lots of personality, some eccentric shopkeepers, and - most importantly - lots of brand new items to turn you into the most ridiculously overpowered killing machine you can be!
The next level! Yeah, so the first two levels were a city at night and a town in the day. Big whoop. It’s the next chapter where things REALLY get interesting. Suffice to say it will be like nothing you’ve seen yet from Carnage in Space.
Playable Tuhrahkkkii! Yeah, I know. The game page promised three playable heroes, but the demo only gave you two. Playable ‘Rahk is coming… eventually. He’s just going to be a pain to animate which is why I’ve put it off for so long.
So anyway, that’s my plan for the near future. It’s a lot of work for (mostly) one guy, so I’d better stop slacking off and get that all done.
And that’s that. As a reward for reading this wall of text (or scrolling right to the bottom), here is a screenshot of the new and improved Fusion Lance - fittingly used against its original owner, Zarres.
Until next time, HUZZAH!
