Multiplayer FNaF Update - WAS THAT THE PERCENT OF 87?!?


Progress is booming! As it says in the title, I have reached 87% completion! The constant FNaF News has kept my motivation alive, and so much has come from it.


The new office, the new cameras, and the new jumpscares are all done. And each are a MASSIVE improvement over my previous attempts.

This pretty much wraps up the Night Guard's side of things. All of that is officially done.


Additionally, I made a lot of unexpected progress on the menus!

Above is the "Find Match" Menu, and it now features random joining, as well as fine tuned code generating. (You might be able to tell I took inspiration from Among Us.)

I also added two very cool things to the Lobby. You can now choose to make your game public or private, which dictates whether your room is accessible from the "Join Random" button. AND the host can now manually select the Night Guard.

Sometimes the random select can get repetitive. So this should help with that.


Finally, the last thing is the Animatronic Mode. I haven't really shown much of this in the past.

The animatronics will have an Undertale-esque (or I suppose FNaF World is more like it) overworld.

The new renders for this overworld are much more spacious, and more accurate to the UFMP renders I have been using. (Thanks to mahyarmovie for the map!)

I just finished rendering the walk cycle sprites for the animatronics. Throughout the rest of the week, I will work on collisions among other things.


Finishing that would finish the game! So as you can see, I am very close.

Additionally, I intend to look into mobile porting, but I also see a bunch of potential roadblocks, so no promises.

I also intend on updating the Gamejolt page with the new renders (along with the credits of course!) very soon. See you then!

So I’ve finally made the switch to GameMaker: Studio 2 and work on Update 2.0 has begun!!

This menu should kinda show you what I’m aiming for. Same game but improved and optimized.
