Hello everyone!

Today I’m happy to announce that multiplayer (along with other features) has been released! To see how you host a game, see the bottom of the post. If you don’t want to be spoiled of the features, stop reading now and go download the game, because here comes the changelog!


Features

  • Added multiplayer! Play the game with up to 3 of your friends! (4 players total on a server)

  • Added carnage mode! A new game mode which turns the settings up to 11! Infinite upgrades, more enemies and more points!

  • Added new upgrades! Fire rate for the shotgun and cluster grenades!

  • Added enemy “armor”! At a certain wave, enemies will start wearing presents on their heads to prevent you from just killing them instantly through headshots. But you can shoot them off!

  • Added a clear font toggle in the settings. If you have troubles reading the pixel font, you can turn it off!

Changes

  • Changed the way points are distributed. They now actually increase, which they were supposed to do from the start. My fault! :(

  • Changed the map. A new house has been added and trees have been changed to improve navigation.

  • The hit particles now stay on the ground! But this can be disabled if you don’t want it to stick around.

  • The game now collects a small amount of data. You can read more about this, and even opt out using the new ‘Privacy Policy’ button on the main menu!

Fixes

  • Fixed the weird glass effect on enemy gibs.

  • Grenade sounds now respect the SFX volume.

  • Fixed being able to jump mid-air.


Multiplayer hosting
The multiplayer system used basic port-forwarding, so no fancy servers you can jump into and play, unfortunately. Players will need your public IP to join you.
The ports you need to port forward (both TCP and UDP) are 7777. This can not be changed.
Once you’ve done that, go to a website like WhatsMyIp.org and get your public IP and give that to your friends.


Lastly, I want to thank you all for the comments and support! And I know Christmas is over, but at least there’s a decent enough game, with multiplayer and all, ready for next Christmas!
And keep in mind, multiplayer is a very tricky beast to master! So if you can find any bugs in the game, remember to post them in the comments so I can fix them!
