Hi there!
This time I want to talk about the process of creating music, a very important part of any game, in my opinion.
In this project my friend and composer Python Blue is going to help me with the music. I have collaborated with him on numerous occasions (The Sacred Orb, Broken Memories and more recently Binary Core) and he has always done an incredible job. You can see his portfolio here:

In order for the music to help create the right atmosphere and to convey my feelings to the composer, I create a musical reference document with images (not necessarily of the game in development, they can be Google examples, similar to the final appearance of the scenes) of the different areas of the game, links to music that can help to find inspiration and descriptions of how the music should be in those areas.
With this document, the composer can get a clearer idea of the style and has easier the creation of music.
Of course, this document for a jam is very simple and only contains the basic guides to help create music in the simplest and fastest way possible, since the time in these events is essential. In larger projects this document increases its complexity.
I hope this article has been interesting for you and I hope to share more about the creation process in future articles.
See you!
