I remember the belt...i remember how much he would hit me when i used to go to her for comfort. i remember her hugs., i always loved her hugs, she makes the best hot cocoa. I remember the day i ran out of the apartment to run to her; he chased me around with his car. I remember the pocketknife, i remember the lashes...she would heal my cuts and stabs with kisses and love. she gave me that pink blanket, she gave me her love. she was the best thing to ever happen to me. I wouldn't be able to get to her if it weren't for a dog with the biggest courage I've ever seen. I guess not all dogs are bad...
