now right off the bat I want to make it clear that I do not hate this game, quite the contrary. ULCN is one of my favorite fnaf fangames of all time and as someone who has watched the game grow since the beginning there are changes to the formula and focus that I think took the game in the wrong direction
1. the humor, someone needs to tell kamil something that is hard for him to hear *ahem KAMIL YOU ARE NOT FUNNY or at least not often funny, I'd be lying if I said that I didn't laugh at a few of his jokes, like the mechanics for thank you endo, ballboy, and that thing from fnaf 6 whose name I forget. but kamil relies on what I call the poison of comedy, overuseage of jokes, kamil (and many other people on the internet) have a problem with using the same joke over and over again, for example, every update HAS to have a new totem panic skin because HAHA LOL FUNNY RANDOM (by the way this is a pain in the ass for people like me who make guides that include skins), although now that it happens literally every update the joke kinda lost its charm. and the worst part is that not only is kamil very intelligent but he surrounds himself with funny people, for example one of the admins in the discord (he goes by the name frozen over yenndo as of me writing this) does a great job of interacting with the community and does kamil's lol random style of humor much better, so I fail to see how someone who is not only intelligent but also surrounds himself with such funny people can turn out so unfunny. this wouldn't be as big of a problem if the humor hadn't become such a large focus of the game's development, kamil has convinced himself that he is so funny that dedicating entire updates to jokes is warranted (we got two fucking freddy updates and neither were very funny) if he wants to make a joke update, at least make the joke funny, that's kinda the point of a joke
2. the character selection: I know this is a bit of a dead horse but it needs to be addressed now more than ever. kamil has stated that clickteam is getting close to its limit and he doesn't know how much more the game can take, this is alarming because unless kamil rethinks his priorities the finished product is going to seem much more underwhelming than how it was on release. kamil has at least stated that he won't go as hard on really obscure characters as he did before which is a relief but how true is this statement?I've seen kamil's patterns and when he makes a statement like this it either means that he is ONLY going to add obscure characters or none, or he is actually telling the truth which isn't likely considering his all or nothing mentality. now I get that he enjoys adding obscure characters and honestly I don't mind them, however, there is another thing someone should have told kamil LONG AGO. THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OBSCURE AND RETARDED. here's an example, frozen over baby is a character from quidd, a pretty obscure website that I never knew about before ULCN, however her design is really good and her UCLN mechanic is fun, an example of obscure, yet intelligent. then there are characters like, 3, hotdog, the funny moment, stage freddy, teaser freddy, ect. these characters are just dumb, and most of them are not fun to go up against, hell characters like stage freddy and hotdog are downright OP. my point is that obscure is fine, dumb is not fine
3: wasting talent and space: kamil has a really talented team working for him, namely modelers. however it feels like a lot fo their effort is being put to waste, for example, both the funny moment and system error toy bonnie have skins, both skins have their own models, yet they are never used outside of the icon. this begs the question "why do these characters have skins to begin with?" I mean if nothing is going to change when these skins are active, why bother wasting space to add them? hell you could at least do something for the skins, like for SE toy bonnie's skin (system error big chungus) have the error symbols turn into big chungus heads or something.
4: fall from grace: when UCLN first came out it was a marvel of a game, it expanded on what made UCN great while adding new things like the light system. but as the game went on the bizarre choices and ideas turned people off and the general public is seeing this game in lower and lower light. its a shame because when you take away everything around the game's creators and only look at the product, the game is a masterpiece that pushes the limits of the medium, if only it was led by a person who knew that
