Need some feedback

Noob dev here,

I've posted a very early build that is suppose to test out the sequence of abilities that you get in the game, you know, the whole metroidvania thing. For now there's only keyboard and mouse support since the controller is a little janky. Also, while I do have a save/load system working, this build has no saves since I'm almost certain I'll refactor it later and break old saves.

The main thing I want from this is some feedback on the core concept and mechanics of the game.

I've been working on this by myself on and off for few months, and I've only had one person to bounce ideas off of, so it's been difficult to tell whether a mechanic is fun or intuitive to use.

If you have a suggestion or find a bug, please feel free to share it with me!

Haven't been able to work on my game for the last few months, but I managed to finish something this month and a demo for the first area is out and working! https://gamejolt.com/games/compactor/531375

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔
