Hi everyone!
Wow the amount of activity this page has generated has passed our expectations and I must say we’re very appreciative of all the support! We haven’t posted news in awhile and I apologize for that.. But the game is very much still in development and Pre-Alpha test 1 will be starting soon! We are currently finishing up the intro quests, adding mounts, and implementing a mail system which offers a cash on delivery option so players may trade items.
I cannot give an exact schedule for Pre Alpha but I will post a link to the sign up page here in the coming weeks. Thank you for your patience and for supporting Transcendia, I truly hope that we can deliver a game that meets and exceeds your expectations! In the meantime enjoy the 3 new songs posted today, we hope that will hold you over a bit longer.
As for the Q&A event I announced some time ago, here are the questions and answers!
Q: The shading and coloring of the island looks really good, except maybe turn down the pink a little bit. maybe more grey/black?
A: The coloring of the island has been adressed and we definitely added more grey and less pink, as you will notice when Pre Alpha 1 goes live.
Q: What game can this be described like?
A: Transcendia is an anime-inspired onling action RPG game, with game systems inspired by popular MMORPGs like Final Fantasy XIV and Eden Eternal.
Q: Is it Free?
A: Yes. Transcendia, like all games developed and published by Dreamboat Games, is free-to-play.
Q: Does that mean the game is going to be pay-to-win?
A: Quite the opposite actually. Transcendia will be completely PLAY-to-WIN There will be a micro-transaction shop in game where players may purchase cosmetic items, pets, house furnishings, etc. The cash shop will never, ever, sell items that give an unfair advantage.
Q: How do you plan to fund the project?
A: For a project of this scope, we’ll need some serious financial backing. We think crowd-funding is our best option because we can earn the funding we need without having to compromise our creative vision forTranscendia.
The plan is to launch an IndieGoGo and Kickstarter campaign simultaneously. IndieGoGo is our focus because they’ll allow us to keep a portion of the donations even if the funding goal isn’t met.
Q: Why are you making this?
A: We are making this game because there is a lack of indie anime MMORPGs on the market and we’re hoping to fill that void. We understand that this game may seem generic at first glance but please understand that this is our first large project and aiming too high may prevent us from shipping the game.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask in the comments!
