This post should've been done like back at November, but got into so many work with my university so I wasn't free to make this.
Anyways, hello everyone. This is ZerJox talking. Now you might be wondering what is this post about? To put it simply, I left the ULB team right after I posted the "3rd year anniversary" devlog. Will jump to the reasons in a minute, but let's introduce the new owners. Yes, "owners". I have decided to pick two owners for this game for two reasons. One being nobody can handle my job alone, and two because the team is big. @TallDudeWithPurpleHoodie , he will be the owner of the project now and @Noriega beside him as the co-owner. I trust both of my friends to carry out my vision for this project along side the other team members. Some people would be upset about this, but trust me they can do it without me. In the end, they're still following my story and will continue with it.
Now, "ZerJox, why?". Well, so many reasons actually, but I will just address the specific ones. If you read the last devlog you could've catched the tune of some of the words I was saying. Especially the last speech. I planned to leave the team a month before the that post, but didn't know how to leave. At one point I considered cancelling ULB yet again for good, but I didn't want to because till this day I still disdain the look of ULB. So I had to take decisions and see who is willing to continue the fangame and who will hold into the project. Now when that was done, me and all the other team members had a VC. I announced my retirement to them, and now I am doing it on the public so people can be aware of it.
My life on the internet had so many memories that both developed me as a content creator but also effected me mentally. I still can't stand walking around the internet to be known as the guy who made a fangame. And when I tried to make something new, ULB always stood as that huge wall blocking all my creativity away. And now, I hate this persona I made for myself. And I am not gaining any value from this either. For the past 4 years on making this fangame, I was doing it all for free. And yeah you might say "because it's a fangame and you can't have profit from it", I know. What am saying is, I have grown up now to work on a fangame, and I want to step away from this business. It used to be a fun project when I first started it, but looking at it now I feel like it's a full-time job.
As for the future of me, the creator and not the internet persona, I will still be around the internet. And ZerJox won't disappear either. For now, all the socials envolving ZerJox has been archived. This sona will still be alive, but for now it will go under construction. Don't worry, the next time you see this name popping up it will be on a bigger project than this.
That's all for now, I hope I didn't ruin someone's day with this. In the end, ZerJox is just a character.
