Howdy folks!

So we’ve been working hard to put this new together. Now let’s see in slightly more detail what these points entail!

  • Autosave: now the game will automatically save at the start of each level. If you decide you want to finish the game over a few sessions, now you can! When you quit out, upon re-opening you’ll be presented with a ‘continue’ option on the start screen which will take you to the start of the level you were last playing. This is also useful if you somehow manage to get stuck somewhere (I’m looking at you water level… although hopefully we’ve fixed the areas where it was possible to get stuck!).

  • Visual tweaks: Scott, our artist extraordinaire, has produced some new visual assets for the hub world and they are looking pretty fantastic! We’ve also added in/tightened up some of the animations.

  • MORE SCIENCE: THAT’S RIGHT, MORE SCIENCE! The Periodic Table in the hub world will now light up and display the element groups you collect at the end of each level. As well as that, the game’s characters will also give a short introduction to some of the elements and their properties in each group!

  • Slightly easier surfing level: Yeah… So it turns out the surfing level was really hard! We’ve tweaked it a bit to make it a little bit easier. But only a little ;)

So that about covers this latest update! If you have any questions or requests, or find any pesky bugs, let us know!

We’ll be coming back at you sometime in the not so distant future with a language update - we’re waiting to get the translations of the dialogue back then we’ll get rolling with that properly.

In the meantime, happy science-ing!

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
