Nightshift Operations is an indie retro-styled management horror game built in Godot, inspired by terminal-based sims and classic CRT aesthetics. The project blends narrative, resource management, and eerie late-night corporate atmosphere — all rendered through ASCII visuals and a vintage terminal UI.
We're looking for:
Programmers (Godot Engine)
We need additional hands to help build out systems such as:
Terminal UI navigation
Menu frameworks
Scene transitions
Audio controls
Story integration
Gameplay systems (resource management, events, etc.)
Experience with GDScript is preferred.
If you enjoy retro UI design, ASCII art rendering, or subsystem-based gameplay, you’ll fit right in.
2D/ASCII Artists
Help define the full art direction of Nightshift Operations, including:
ASCII-style graphics
Terminal-framed animations
Logo and UI styling
Promotional art / key visuals
We’re aiming for a unique identity that balances retro terminals with unsettling corporate charm.
Music & Sound Designers
We’re building an atmosphere driven by:
8-bit/16-bit music
Ambient tension
CRT/system noises
Mechanical drones
Minimalist warning tones
Menu/UI bleeps
If you love shaping horror ambience or creating old-hardware sonic textures, we’re looking for you.
Writers / Narrative Designers
Nightshift Operations includes (or at least hopes to include):
Branching story content
Corporate memos
Terminal logs
Nightly reports
Event scripts
Character-driven mysteries
If you’re into analog horror, liminal storytelling, or world-building through old computers and broken software, this is your playground.

Come Help Build the Terminal
Nightshift Operations is already moving fast internally — menus, UI, CRT shader, intro boot sequence, and systems are underway — but with more hands and creativity, we can push this into a fully polished indie experience.
If you want to help create something eerie, nostalgic, and genuinely unique, we’d love to have you.
Welcome to the night shift.
