As per my last devlog, I mentioned my computer experiencing difficulties, and misfunctions. Well, it evemtually just... stopped working altogether. So we took it to Best Buy, and a couple weeks later, it actually came back in great condition! Everything was working perfectly again.

But while I was without a computer, it began to grow on me just how refreshing it was not to work on NFG. I began to learn some truths about it all. Namely, it's a bland, unoriginal game, with little to set it apart from the competition.

This has been my first "real" project, and while there are some things I admire about it, like the music and some of the characters, I'm just not happy with it anymore.

Wasn't that the goal of making this project in the first place? To make myself happy?

...I initially wasn't going to post about this. I was going to let the project die a silent death. But I figured I should formally close this chapter of my career. This passion project is no longer a passion. It's just project! How boring!

Besides, this game was casually gaining followers during my absense. Which wasn't good. I was setting false expectations.

I still have a drive for making games. In fact, since Nil's Fine Game is over now, I can start expanding on other, potentially better stories I've been thinking of.

But for now, don't expect anything else from me for a while.

I still love making games. I still love making music. I still love art, writing, and everything video games.

But I feel I must set all of it aside to focus on my real life, now.

I'm growing and becoming an adult. I have to start looking for colleges to attend and potential careers.

I hope you all understand. This is for the better of me.

I have nothing else to day.

Thank you to everyone who has been constantly supporting this project, from the semi-sarcastic haters, to the three or four superfans-for-whatever-reason.

Hopefully you all stick around for whatever it is I have in store next time.
