It appears that the game-key card thing is only applied to certain games, but not all games.

It's kinda like what's already happening to some of the Switch 1 games. The digital download code being sold inside the physical case, but it only applies to certain games that are either too big to fit on the cartridge or the companies didn't want to buy the 64GB cartridge that are expensive. I avoid these type of "physical" download requirement games. What's the point of making it "physical" when it's only a digital download code?

Of course, I still think it sucks that they're doing that with certain games. I'm glad it's not applied to all games, but still. If this actually applied to all games, this would be a major hard pass for me. But I would still avoid these "Game Key Cards" anyways. Because if people do buy these Game Key Cards, then it's gonna encourage more companies to keep using it.

I'm also not too happy about the games being $80.
Sure, there are certain games that won't cost that much. Donkey Kong Bananza will cost $70, but still... The prices for these games are insane.

I was thinking of getting the Switch 2 a year or two later. Why? Well, I usually don't buy brand-new consoles on launch day because sometimes early copies of the console might have issues from the start. Plus, I want to see how well the new console does in performance, sales, etc. After seeing the prices for some of these Switch 2 games, I'm not so sure.

Now that I think about it, I'm good for what I have now. I have several Switch games that haven't had the chance to play yet. Plus, I have a few retro games that I never played before and I'm excited to play them for the first time. 🎮

It also doesn't help that the inflation prices are basically high everywhere. Unfortunately, people have to be more frugal with their money and only buy the essentials. I feel bad for people outside the U.S. where the prices for the Switch 2 games are more expensive than in the US.

This kinda reminds me of when Nintendo first released the 3DS and the price for that was expensive for a small handheld. There was a lot of backlash to a point that Nintendo had to reduce the price on the 3DS. I wonder if the same thing will happen for the Switch 2? 🤔

Toontober Day 17 - Lion-O (2020)

Thundercats was another great show that I watched during my childhood. I wasn't alive yet when it first released, but I did watch it on Cartoon Network during the 90's. I would come home from school to watch it. :)

Toontober Day 22 - Batman (2020)

90's cartoons! Batman the animated series was my jam and my favorite show. I really like drawing Batman in his silhouette form that adds so much mystery and showing how Batman can be intimidating.

The 2024 remake of The Thousand-Year Door reconfirmed that Vivian is trans through a scene where she talks about how it took time for her to realize she was her brothers' sister and not their brother.

Toontober Day 24 - The Animaniacs (2020)

It's Time for Animaniacs! They are zany to the max! I decided to draw the Animaniacs in their updated designs from the Hulu series.

What's Your Favorite Enemy Design In Gaming? #GJAsks

There are so many enemy designs to choose from!

I would say the Shiekah Guardian from TLOZ: Breath of the Wild. They are scary when you first encounter them & that music when they spot you.

Now we move unto Don Bluth films! Another childhood favorite movie. I started adding simple background colors to help the drawing to stand out more.
