I haven’t said much about this game in quite some time, mostly due to very much thinking on this issue. I have been developing SST games for over a year now, beginning last year when I got the rights to do a spinoff when the original SST was cancelled (it is not cancelled anymore). I had developed the original idea in Minecraft within a month of being allowed to do so. I was estatic. It was a popular game and a great way to start off the beginning of our indie game company. We then began on working on an update to that game. It was to be called the 2.0 update. We had huge plans for that, including a server, new characters, stages, etc. and wanted to continue the games life. It was constantly delayed until we decided to make a new SST game instead, which you all know if Super Smash Tube: Fighting Urge. We had began doing what we did before. We planned it out in Minecraft and began prototypes for the full release. We had wanted to get it out ASAP, so released the beta (0.1.0) and promised to deliver weekly or so updates. We failed again, delaying it numerous times. We then released the 0.2.0 update and stopped development. We had begin to see the downhill popularity of the game and the hate towards our approach of it. We began thinking if we should continue. We wanted to take as long as we needed to decide. And we now have.
We have came to the conclusion that it would be best for the company to cancel the game. You all can continue developing the game yourself if you wish, but the game will no longer be made by our company for multiple reasons. The reasons include what we have previously stated and also how ambitious of a game it would be for it to be our first game. We are moving on to simpler games for the time being and making our way back up to these huge games. We thank all of you fans and loved your support, but it is finished.
