Now a Brutal Starvation Simulator! (Plus Cannibalism!)

Health and Starvation

Changes

  • Trees now reproduce themselves.

  • You have health, and can die

  • After eating (and at the beginning of the game) you have 5 minutes in which you do not starve. Thereafter, every 3 seconds you lose 1 health)

  • You can eat cooked meat. It gives 10 health and restarts the 5 minute starvation timer.

  • You will leave a corpse, and abruptly respawn elsewhere (yes, I’ll make this nicer one day)

  • (Yes, you can turn your corpse into meat and cook it, sicko.)

Corpse + 10 Knives = 10 Meat!

Health and Starvation

In order to test health, I put a timer to decrease it. Originally, I had planned to have it go down very slowly, like one health every 5 minutes.

But to test, I put it every 5 seconds.

Suddenly, the game had a clock to beat, and a motivation to get something done before my guy died.

A motivation to get something done in a game is a good thing, because otherwise this is a “take yer time and kill bunnies while cultivating a crop of berries” simulator.

In the end, I decided to give the 5 minutes grace after spawn and after eating. Basically, you have ten minutes before you starve to death, and you have to eat cooked meat once every 5 minutes.

Trees spawning (overpowered ATM)

Every so often, a tree has a chance to spawn an acorn next to itself. It will only spawn one if there is no creature there and if it is stump, grass, or dirt.

At the moment, this is overpowered and too quick, but I’ll adjust it. But for right now, it is a race to see if the bunnies overrun you before the trees do.

Strange Umbrella

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Terraria

Levels' maps.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.
