Now I am soon to return. For real, this time.

Howdy! It's been a while.

First of all, I truly apologize for my premature announcement to return to development of this fangame. I'll explain a few reasons.

---

Now, I was supposed to return last year, considering that the Coronavirus pandemic gave an opportunity to return to this project. Not that I'd think the pandemic was any good for life in general, as we transitioned closer to home, making many unhappy and stressed as we are restricted from with the outside world.

I genuinely thought I would be able to start working on it. However, I had setbacks, some valid, but ultimately, doesn't justify the reasonable wait, and my squander in return:

  • I transferred my files to a new computer. It was necessary at the time, due to the rise of video conferencing and the performance of my previous computer. I kept most of the files, but some may be unfortunately lost. Luckily, I still had the Undertale Engine .gmz up and available in another page of mine. There were still 2 problems, however...

  • I still kept developing with my own tools, this time using the C language, with good reason. It was my main drive, and I thought about remaking this work entirely with that language, especially as I believed being comfortable with my current tools and the significant performance improvements provided by the C language is a good motivation; it proved harder than expected, however, and it didn't come to fruition.

  • Finally, some school requirements have bitten me in back, and soon after, the online classes have begun starting August.

---

Again, I shall return. I will continue my work on this project. I'll be free of my obligations by June, and this time, I'll be sure to remind myself of this.

For now, stay determined...

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?
