Spent the night working on NPC interactions with the player. Mostly learning what the best ways would be to time dialog and sprite changes and movement and etc etc.
This lead to rewriting the dialog system all together (ugh) but it’s definitely more efficient now and also allows the modification of variables on the NPCs end of the process, so it’ll come in handy down the road.
Kind of dreading doing dialog with more than one NPC at a time… buuuuuuut it’s gonna have to happen.
Going to go mull that over for a while, and when I finally accept it as a reality, I’ll be back!
