So I’ve finally given OCD a real name matching its letters, “Orbital Contract Defense” which best describes the game anyhow.
At this point I’m going into a detailing phase, which means adding new graphic and audio content, as well as going through the current maps and refining them before I begin to expand them.
Right now I’m experimenting with a collection of midis, for a more 8bit sound, however I haven’t made any decisions on whats going to stay, and I still have plenty of music to browse through in midi form. I will also test out MP3/OGG music.
I’ve uploaded a tiny ZIP of the current music I’m testing if you want to give me feedback or suggestions on what to keep or drop. Feel free to recommend as well. I’ve added a TXT with the links of the three artist I used music from.

Currently whats getting closer to completion is the first two enemy npcs. Beetles and Security Droids.
Using palette swapping designates them as different versions/ranks of their base type.
Beetles come in 4 colors and sizes according to their toughness. Blue are simple cowardly beetles, just biting you. Green ones are tougher, Red and Gray spit acidic poisons, and the Gray one also jumps at you.
Security Droids have currently 3 types, but more my be added. There is a weakened Green suit, standard Blue suit, and Red captain.
Future enemies include bio mutants, zombie astronauts, cyborgs, and aquatic things.
