Well work on Terra101’s city is nearing completion, with part of an office buidling started, a diner near finished and some areas preped for the rest of the buildings. Still to do is mines and a factory also on the level.
The second Terra level which features a mostly submerged city is also coming along nicely. Water zones have all been set up and most of the buildings are decorated on their exteriors.
The floating sentry droids I currently have in the game are restricted from entering water, so I’ll be creating some water specific enemies, some mutant and some tracking and stationary water mines.
Still need to figure out how I’ll go about NPC interaction and other details like if you kill an innocent. Right now I’m thinking of having a credit penalty and some kind of alternative kill counter that counts innocent NPCs that get killed.
Regarding hub maps, I think I may go the Hexen route in which certain maps are chained and once completing the set you’ll move on to the next.
Mainly since I’ll be making multiple versions of some maps to follow the story and possible choices you make in the game.
Next on graphic making, is replacing more of the duke3d first person graphics and weapons. I still need to design a taser type weapon to replace the kick graphic, and think of nice replacements for the chaingun and other fancy weapons.
