On the 1st of June, Schwarzerblitz will receive a major balance/gameplay update on itch.io and GameJolt, plus a full free Steam release! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1287800/Schwarzerblitz/​​. Changelog in the article!


Changelog:

  • changed how the restand mechanics works;

  • changed behavior of backdash and sidedash;

  • increased sidewalk and running speed;

  • eased use of guard during sidewalk;

  • added pictures to the game gallery;

  • added 1 costume for Johnson, 3 costumes for K-069, and 1 costume for Elena;

  • general tweaks to movesets. Lejl, Evilobster and Krave gained a couple new moves and chain routes;

  • added 1 new story chapter, "Skeletons in the Closet";

  • changed the way the last story chapter is unlocked - now, clearing arcade once with a specific character will suffice;

  • general AI rebalancing;

  • in-game jukebox;

  • in-game adjustable input delay to even the playfield while playing on Parsec or Steam Remote Play;

  • various bug fixes;

Schwarzerblitz v 1.4.6 is out! New costumes, a new stage and bug fixes!

Due to some issues with setting financial information on GameJolt, I am currently not able to offer the latest DLC through this platform.

"Tales from the Epilogue" is currently available on itch and Steam, but compatible with the GJ version of the game.

SCHWB v1.6 update is (slightly) delayed to middle of June, due to a couple other indie fighting games coming out at the end of May (thus avoiding a pile-up with them). Fanart submissions for the final release are still open!

Aaaand here's the final version, straight from the early '00s!

The impossible happened! Schwarzerblitz was featured at EVO 2022 in the Indie Showcase stream, so YES, let me repeat it, SCHWB WAS SHOWN AT EVO 2022!
