Hey Guys, Devin here again to talk about things.

If you haven’t noticed we’ve once again made it to the Second Page, and that means the game will get more noticed.

Everyday people 1 rate games because pretty much everyone on this site is a Developer, the FNAF Developers also rate games… unfairly

Getting to the front page is an insane achievement, unfortunately unless your a popular animator, modeler, your fnaf game has anime boobs, the creator of gamejolt, the creator of the game yours is based on, or it’s using Unreal Engine your FNAF Game isn’t staying on the front page for a while.

The Major problem has to do with rating games, Gamejolt’s creator have the idea that everyone should get a chance to rate a game because their opinion matters… unfortunately countless times we’ve proven that the general public isn’t mature enough to handle something like this. Just take a look at change.org’s newest petitions.

Because of this the users of this site only see two different ratings, 1 and 5 with nothing in between. Meaning if your game doesn’t 100% meet someone’s standards with a first impression, say goodbye to being anywhere near the front page for a long time.

And gamejolt has yet to fix this, they’re mindset right now is that “Everything is fine and nothing is being abused majorly” when in reality their system is being abused every single day.

Good things have less of an impact on us than bad things do, such as the insane 1 ratings. It kills people’s spirits to move on, you want to keep making something better.

Before rating a game, play it, if the game isn’t out yet then DON’T RATE IT!

We left the ratings on for when the game get’s released, we shouldn’t have to take something away from everyone because a few people decided to be dumb and rate/review a game they haven’t played, imagine if a game reviewer decided to review a game they didn’t play… that’s a lot of what this website is made up of, people who rate/review games they haven’t played negatively.

Stop being a bunch of game reviewers who didn’t play the game they’re reviewing and just don’t rate the game until you have played it… and be honest about your rating, if you liked it but wouldn’t play it again, rate it at least a 2 or at most a 3, liked but didn’t love it but would keep coming back to play it, a least 3 and at most 4, loved it and would keep coming back at least a 4 and at most a 5, disliked it, at least a 2 and at most a 1.

My point is, give games a chance… you might actually enjoy it
