On the topic of Game Dev and Animation, are there any good software/tools or equipment I should get for said topics?

I know software tools like GameMaker and Aesprite are good tools for game development, and Adobe Animate for animation (or maybe something else).

I've also seen equipments like a drawing tablet for example, I might try find myself one of them aswell.
