Patch 0.9.2: Demonfrost


The long awaited Demonfrost update is here!

Version 0.9.2: Demonfrost Patch Notes

CORE ENGINE

Escape Rate reduced by 50%

The percentage value of how much Buffs and Debuffs affect the user are now displayed

Most states that enemies can apply to themselves now have the “Magic” type, allowing for future interactions

MERCENARIES

Assassins:

Alacard:

Base:

Class name changed to Huntsman (Was Acurser)
Alacard’s weapons no longer decide his Basic Attack, it’s now locked to his Passive

Skills:

Precise Shot has been redesigned.

Gunmaster:

Switch between Dual Shot and Quickshot at will. Dual Shot allows for 2 different enemies to be damaged, Quickshot deals higher damage to a single target.

Bouncing Grenade has been redesigned.

Rapid Fire:

Deal 8x Physical Damage to an enemy. You can select all enemies, causing the damage to be split evenly among them.

Expert Tracking:

No longer gives Blind Immunity
Basic Attacks apply Exposed Weakness, reducing the target’s Armor by 15%

Scope In has been redesigned.

Powershot:

Heroic: Deal 10x Physical Damage to an enemy. If this kills, excess damage is stored for your next attack.

Spitfire:

Note: Spitfire has been moved to Assassin (From Tank)

Base:

Basic Attack damage is now based off Physical Damage (Was Spell Damage)
Basic Attack damage increased to 4x Physical Damage (Was 3x)
Now deals Physical and Fire damage (Was Fire only)
MaxHP decreased to 367 (Was 429)
Physical Damage increased to 17 (Was 16)
Spell Damage decreased to 13 (Was 16)
Spell Armor decreased to 15 (Was 16)
Speed increased to 32 (Was 28)

Skills:

All of Spitfire’s skills (Except Melted Armor) have been redesigned.

Singe Magic:

Deal 4x Physical Damage to an enemy and Dispel a Magic effect off them.

Hellfire:

Deal 3x Physical Damage to all enemies and set them on Fire. If there’s only 1 enemy, deal 6x Physical Damage instead.

Flameheart:

Passive: Spitfire’s enemies take 1x Physical Damage each turn.

Darkened Takeover:

Name changed to Transformation
Can now be toggled at will

Tanks:

Lily:

Base:

Physical Damage decreased to 16 (Was 18)
Physical Armor increased to 17 (Was 15)
Speed increased to 28 (Was 26)

Skills:

Burning Brand has been redesigned.

Blazing Armor:

Lily gains Physical Taunt and Fire Absorption for 2 turns.

Overheat has been redesigned.

Scorching Touch:

Deal 5x Physical Damage to an enemy. If the enemy is weak to Fire damage, deal 30% increased damage.

Afterburner has been redesigned.

Infernal Resilience:

Passive: 35% of Physical Damage dealt to Lily is staggered over the next 3 turns.

Ghostly Hellfire:

No longer grants Taunt
Ghostly Hellfire’s state description now states the effects correctly
The animation is now unique!

ITEMS

Dreadshot renamed to Dreadshot Pistol
Physical Damage per Gun decreased to 8 (Was 10)
Each Gun now gives 2 Speed

Fixed a major issue with Duskfale where it didn’t properly grant a new Basic Attack

DUNGEONS/ENEMIES

Rework Spotlight: Articia

The frozen lands of the north, and the beasts that control it have remerged!
But be weary, the travel here was long, and you won’t be going back without getting something done!

Yetimus and Korv return with new, fearsome allies!
The Beasts and Constructs are not friendly with each other, and are therefore found in different parts of the dungeon.

Forgot something back at Ephilar before you came here? Worry not!
The denizens have set up camp to aid in the defeat of the Scourge and Demolisher!

The path to these dangerous foes may not be clear at first.
Look for clues, or use brute force. It’s up to you!

New gear that can only be forged with materials from Articia!
New Weapon: Iceripper, Blade of the Scourge. Basic attacks with this weapon deal Physical Damage, but will deal Frost Damage instead if the target is weaker to it. It also grants a Passive 20% Frost Resistance.
New Armor: Frostchill Coat. Provides 10% Frost Resistance, +10% Speed and +2.5% Spell Evasion while equipped.

The cold is an ever present threat that will slow you to a crawl, but we might have something to fix that!
New Consumable: Torch. On use, emits heat that provides 10% Frost Resistance and prevents the party from being Chilled for 3 turns.
New Armor: Slagmail Breastplate. Provides 20% Fire Resistance and Immunity to the Chilled and Burning status effects while equipped.

One last thing…
We’re testing a new system: Having bosses not infinitely scale, but higher level ones drop more loot.
Yetimus and Korv have a level cap of 30 (The same as every other Articia enemy).
To make testing easier, a new box will be available in Ephilar which will grant EXP. No code, just a simple click!

VISUAL/OTHER

Tester’s Box has been moved to a new map
You can access it by going to the right of the Inn
Tester’s Box has been split into 3 different boxes: Gold Box, Relic Box, and Legend Box
Added EXP Box for testing higher level dungeons easier

Xelni has moved over by the Planning Tent

Rel has received visual updates

Name boxes now have different colors

Updated the descriptions of each Mercenary in the Guild Hall

Start-of-Game sequence now refers to Sel as an Assassin instead of a Damage Dealer
Start-of-Game sequence no longer displays the titles of the characters, only the names
