Bug Fixes
NOTE: YOU CAN CONTINUE WHERE YOU LEFT OFF WITH A 99% SUCCESS RATE OF NOT BUGGING OUT/FREEZING. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW HOW TO AFTER DOWNLOADING THE LATEST VERSION.
A few bugs and difficulties were found. They weren't anything that prevented further gameplay (such as freezing and getting permanently stuck halfway through), just a few things that were annoying. In regards, a patched version has been released as Caster’s Trap v1-1. These patches will include
- Unlocking the first door from the porch (though not opening) after finding the key. Previously, you could face any direction, but must face left to go through. This will be changed so that the player can only interact with the door when facing left.
Using the hoop-fragment on the skeleton key door. Previously, if you use the hoop-fragment before using examining the door, the hanger will not be available to find. This will be fixed so that the hanger can be obtained at any time pre-opening the door.
Flashlight before first chasing boss (appears when you light the candle). If you light the candle with the flashlight, the flashlight graphic would go out. A fix has been patched so that only the lantern would go out.
Upon death by her (her is in reference to last patch) you will be frozen instead of turned into a crystal. This change was made to clarify “turning into a crystal” versus being frozen. I didn’t think it was big at the time, but it caught much attention that made it need to be fixed.
- Lighting the body with the lighter. A prompt will now explain why the lighter cannot light the body of bones on fire. For those curious, “To prevent setting yourself on fire, you know that you must drop the lighter, while lit, onto the corpse. However, doing so would cause you to lose the lighter. Not knowing whether or not you will need the lighter in the future, you decide that a disposable match would be better.”
The Pocket Watch can now be found before triggering the seal. Doing this will make the fight much easier.
The Maid’s chase scene in the basement will decrease in difficulty (by decreasing the time).
The witch finale for Ending #1 will decrease in difficulty (by increasing away time).
Spelling errors will be fixed to the best of my knowledge.

HOW-TO TRANSFER SAVE DATA
It’s very simple. Move your save files from Caster’s Trap into Caster’s Trap v1-1. If you can’t find them, then you’ll probably need to turn on hidden files in your folder options. Here is a [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GudiIL1OnjQ) I made how to do it as a visual assist.
