Performance Update

As some of you may know, I spent all of 2016 and most of 2017 being a sort of hermit, making my own technological breakthroughs and discoveries in the art of game programming. Most of these breakthroughs have accumulated into The Temple of Max.

Anyways, my first games that used a form of graphics beyond ascii had horrible flickering issues and was overall just choppy and primitive. I was bored today, and these issues have been bothering me for the past year. All it took was a few simple lines of code, and the results are astounding when compared to the original launch version. In my opinion, this new version is the definitive version of Lasers of Mars. I’ve also given this treatment to Quadrilateral Drive, in case anyone was wondering.

That’s about all I have to say. Thanks for reading, and enjoy the fixes!

We are under attack!

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Enemies can also suddenly spawn through Realm Rifts. These Rift Spawns are going to be stronger than the ones wandering around. TBD on the enemies... #screenshotsaturday #godstear #madewithunity

Runestones: from concept to in-game model🗿

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
