First off, we would like to thank the over 700 people who have followed Eldritchvania so far! Seriously, super awesome and fun to see! Thank you!
Eldritchvania has been in development for quite some time now. The first seven months of development have gone into creating the necessary systems, art assets, enemies and environments for the game's first area. We're very pleased with what we've got so far and we'll be showing off some of the things we have made over time. However, a cornerstone of our design philosophy and work ethic, is polish.
As we finish this initial part of the game, we're going to double back to try and really make it shine.
Everything from particle effects to player movement. We want to get this first area in a place that both looks and feels fantastic to play. Once we do, we know we'll be in a good spot going forward.
There's also a number of bugs I've been avoiding for some time now which definitely need to be addressed. So fixing those can be included in this round of polish work.
So what's with the gif at the top of the post?
Well, it shows a tiny change that can have a big impact on game feel. Can you tell what the difference between 1 and 2 is? There's only one.
Leave a comment with your guess!
First person to get it right gets bragging rights and I'll add your name to the end of this post so everyone knows who the real winner was!
