I need some help making a decision with arena progression. I want there to be some rogue like qualities.
What if the game started in a center room of an arena and the goal was to find the elevator to the next arena somewhere on the outside rooms where you fight a boss.
As you progress through the rooms, you are met with different encounters/traps/challenges. each arena has one shop, and one luck encounter.
At the shop you will be able to purchase upgrades and extra lives.
Luck encounters will give you 50/50 chance to win a bunch of lives or fight Fluffy, who will kill you… a lot.
Should I do this?
