Post-Mortem

The long and short of it is that by the time we had the majority of the mechanics up and running we had less than 2 hours to make all the levels, and we didn’t have time to add any audio to it (kind of important for a horror game). The low quality results speak for themselves.

Unlike most contest games I actually sort of want to come back to it. The mechanics were really starting to feel right in testing, but they pretty much demand level design to work with (the open test area we had with a single monster was actually a lot more fun to get chased by than the claustrophobic areas in the release). That and we hardly used most the mechanics, I don’t think the sound monster even makes an appearance. Enough is in place that it probably wouldn’t take much effort, but you never know with contest games and motivation.

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.
