Pre-Alpha 1.2 uploaded, includes beginnings of new level!


Hey, just bringing it to your attention that the newest version has been uploaded!

Here are the changes:


Pre-Alpha 1.2 </


ADDITIONS

-The Church level’s front door is open and it is fully explorable.
You can visit every room except for the basement. No events happen, and no story information is in place
so it’s a strretch to call it a fully working, playable level. But for anyone interested about what I’m working on,
it might still be fune to walk around. The riddle dealing with the mysterious box can NOT be completed because I have
not placed any of the story information containing the correct sequence. If you really want to see the box open, you
can contact me for the correct code or attempt to guess it. (Bless your soul)

CHANGES

-Made the SFX that play when facing “the light” more subtle.
-Fixed a collider that caused some movement issues in the bedroom.
-Dramatically improved lightmap quality on small items such as lightswitches and power outlets (They previously looked horrible)
-Polygon reduction. I’ve gone through some older meshes and cleaned out invisible polygons. This has improved lightmap quality, and probably lightens the CPU load on lower end machines.
-Made the guiding light a little bit brighter.
-Fixed the terrain streaming system (which was disabled due to a bug) so that it works perfectly across all machines now.
-Fixed a bug that allowed you to open a door after it’s supposed to be locked.
-Fixed an issue that caused chairs not to be rendered.
-Fixed the lighter so that the particles disappear immediately after it is turned on.
-Made the “Light” effect come on mo0re quickly, so that it is more noticable.

REMOVALS

-Removed the experimental voice acting provided by my brother.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
