Progress! (I think)

I’m right now in the middle of creating a lot of stuff:

-the first rooms you start out in
-creating attacks from enemies and from the player
-creating items and weapons
-NPCs
-menu items
-music
-tiles

Here’s some of the stuff I’ve finished:

-finding a text to use (Press start 2P, we’re going old school)
-main theme song (just need to polish it now)
-most of Sarah’s sprites (that I need in this stage of the game)
-save points (called “save graves”) and the ghosts who you interact with to save
-some main character sprites
-the first battleground

I don’t know when exactly I am going to finish the whole game, but I know it will take a while. I am right now trying to create a debug that I can work with and test. Eventually, that will become a demo I can release to the public. But until then, I will post some sort of progress every so often. Maybe a video, maybe a hint at a new character or feature, maybe even some fan art. Until that time comes, feel free to ask questions or suggestions in the comments! I’ll be sure to look at them.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
