We decided to make 0.4.5 the last private update. Once 0.4.6 is released, every person who signed up for The Public Alpha Program will recieve an installer. Because of this, the “Small bugfix update” turned into the biggest update of Undertale: Orange’s history. We added some major features and improvements, as well as changed the look and feel of the game. Here are the best improvements so far:

1 - A New Menu
Out with the boring black background! This menu features a “Settings” tab, which will hopefully be used in a future update to bind your own keys or macros to in-game actions. In the FAR future of 2019, we want to add USB Controller Support, as well as touch controls for phones, tablets, and touch-screen laptops.

2 - OmniQube AutoUpdater™
This tool was born out of the need for convenience, as we don’t want to spam the inboxes of Alpha Testers with countless e-mails about new updates being available. Upon clicking “OK”, a download link will open up in your default browser. It’s as easy as that.

3 - Finished OST
Except for a few ambient songs, you can expect this to be the final DEMO soundtrack. You can already listen to the song which plays in Toriel’s house, even though that section of the game is only going to be available after the demo.

Right now we are focusing on fixing the game in the first place, and making it feel more complete and ready for the demo. For anybody who hasn’t signed up for The Public Alpha Program, you can still sign up now, but be quick, because as soon as the first Public Alpha version comes out, the form will no longer be available.
