Progress Update 2


It’s been over a year since the last update post, and this one has been stalled and delayed for so long there has to be something I could show… right? Well, let’s see what’s been happening behind the curtains since last year.

(Trust me, there is a few.)

STOP BULLYING: DEMAKE REMASTER (SHELVED)

This project was meant to replace the “non-joke game” version of the game that was shown in the last progress update.
Why? The previous idea used characters that clearly appeared as joke characters and putting them into an actual project sounds… dumb, considering the gameplay could be used for a completely different game.

So, what about this game? This game was a complete revamp of the original game, new gameplay objectives, new characters as well as remodels of already existing ones, obviously new graphics and layout. Gameplay wise, it was an improved version of SBD1 and 2 combined, nothing else to say there. It was put aside as soon as SB:D 2.0 happened.

STOP BULLYING: DEMAKE 2.0 (CURRENT)

This one actually started as an Android port version of the original SB:D, but since it was poorly coded and designed, it had to be re-coded from ground up, using Math™. Eventually, the graphics also started to bother me, therefore these also got re-rendered and slightly improved.

Gameplay wise, can’t say much, since there will be a separate post showcasing most changes, once the game releases, however, most of the gameplay got an overhaul, as well as there is more additional content to look at and explore.

BOBBY’S (CURRENT)

Yeah, I’m sure most hype there was for this already started to die out since the game page release, however, the game is almost finished, it needs some more improvements and testing for it to be properly released though.

What else can I really say there? The gameplay is fully functional, most characters are coded in and are working properly, I would say it’s at least 80% done.

When it comes to the model showcase, that’s not going to happen anymore, because it’s an actual game now, and it would obviously be considered as spoilers. Either way, the cast has 36 characters now, most characters from 1-4 finally got proper models and soon there will be models for “Bobby’s SL” cast as well.

Now onto MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS:

MINIBOX (SHELVED)

This one was a remake of my very first OWNaB fangame from 2018, featuring most of the characters that appeared at the time. The main game was a clicker game, where your objective was to beat the game by getting the final high score as quick as you can.

Beating the game would also depend on tasks you’d need to complete before reaching a certain score. For example, there would be a shop where you’d need to buy certain items to progress.

Obviously, the shop would also be used to buy temporary buff and permanent upgrades.

The game also had characters that’d attempt to make your run more difficult, by either distracting you or taking away your points if you fail to deal with them.

“APRIL GAME” (CURRENT)

This project was meant to release in April last year, but it obviously didn’t. There were plans to finish it by April this year, but I wasn’t even home at the time this decision was made.
Despite it being an April Fools game, this one was about different fangame styles, each character would “represent or parody” a fangame style, whenever it’s Photo-realistic, Hand-drawn 2D or Classic 2015. It may be released as a “non-April Fools” game though.

This game was absolutely horrible. It was so scary the creator got a heart attack and DIED, therefore it’s still a DEMO, never to be finished.

APPLE OBSERVER (CURRENT)

A different thing, this one is more of an experimental game than anything else. Like the title suggests, you observe an apple, simple as that. There are 20 unique levels planned, 6 of which are already programmed in.

EXPLANATION OF THE DELAY (SEMI-PERSONAL)

Yeah, I understand the lack of updates for such a long time caused a lot of people to lose interest in any projects that are being made, some no longer even care if there is progress or not. Delays made people believe the projects will never come out, others believe those aren’t even real in the first plays, like it’s a one, big gaslight.

In reality, what else is there I can do?

A lot of things have changed. I got a job and I’m spending less time at home now. Obviously this will greatly delay the projects, especially if I work alone.

It’s kind of difficult to find another modeler, composer, hell it’s a struggle to get any help in general. And since the others are busy minding their own business and working on their stuff, I have to work on my own.

That being said, the projects are still being worked on, if you feel like you no longer want to support any of them, if you feel like you’ve lost interest due to delays, I’m not going to blame you.
