Progress update!


Greetings!

Here is another update on our progress on Eldritchvania!

Over the last month, we have been working on a myriad of things, including some more visual effects. Including footstep variants for different ground types, as seen above.

I felt that the backgrounds were a bit too static. And whilst we might look into adding more moving and dynamic elements to them, for now, we have added some fog to liven up the place.

Doesn't it look homely?

We have also been hard at work creating new rooms, puzzles and enemies for the game. Below is a picture of a shop, where you can spend your hard earned money to buy valuable items and upgrades.

Eldritchvania is full of devious puzzles. Some might be harder than they look. Will you be able to conquer them all? ( Its hard to show off puzzles without giving hints, but hopefully you wont be able to gleam too much from this!)

Eldritchvania polish is continuing! This week I made some improvements to the options menu. Old ( top) vs New ( bottom). The new menu is more in line with our other UI, and also has some extra options which have been in our backlog for a while!

This is it. After 5 long years of development, this passion project of ours is done!

So prepare yourselves for a journey into the dilapidated ruins, of despicable monsters and intricate puzzles.

Looking to polish up some of our older enemies. I remade the walking animation for this enemy. The old one (top) wasn't really conveying the motion very well. The new one is a bit more frantic but I think it creates a far more interesting impression.
