Proof of Concept Preview Build

I have a bunch of big ideas for what i want to do with this game. I want to build it out to include a mix of tilemap and giant sprites. i want to include a variety of challenges so if one is getting frustrating it shouldn’t be too hard to go find another to try.

i have some more base mechanics i want to include. and i have more i want to do with the narrator. i also have some ideas for difficulty moderation that i’d like to try out with this game. including having the difficulty settings you choose at the start of the game affect the drift of some dynamic difficulty settings that could be used to ensure that the game isn’t too hard or too easy for a wider range of skill levels.

so for now i’m going to focus on working on some of the game systems. i’ll have to figure out what sort of update schedule makes sense moving forward. i’m happy with what i’ve finished so far. next i think i want to take the things i’ve thrown together for this and make them into nice modular components that’s easy to work with. so i can focus on designing the game world and the narratives i end up including in it.

i’m also probably going to work on some small games that let me focus on specific game systems.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
