Prototype 3 Inbound!

I'm just finishing up the last bits on Prototype 3 which should be coming in the next few days. This update features an overhaul on the battle system now players must take a quick time event in order to do most attacks. This introduces misses and critical hits into the game which shakes up the dynamic of battles.

The update also contains passive abilities and teams.

Teams are probably my favourite new edition as you can pick a party of 3 to battle your opponents team. There is currently 10 opponent teams in the game. These opponents can have super-powered boss monsters, alternate monster forms as well as monsters that aren't currently playable. Such as Kungala, these monsters will eventually make it into the game however they need to be worked on a little more to make them playable.

Sadly there's no new playable monsters in this update however a lot of balance changes have been made to the current roster to make it feel more fresh and balanced.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa MarΓa Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
