Q: Will the engine support mobile devices or consoles?
A: Consoles are very unlikely. Since the engine is written in Python, supporting consoles would be extremely difficult. As for mobile, we're still deciding if it's worth it. Right now our main focus is Windows and Linux. macOS has basic Python support, but the engine isn't optimized for it yet.
Q: What about modding?
A: We've been thinking about keeping the engine closed source for a long time. For now, the plan is to release an SDK that will let you create mods, replace textures, and make other modifications, then share them with the community.
Q: Will Veltrix be paid?
A: We don't have any plans to charge for Veltrix anytime soon. Our goal is to make the engine available to everyone.
Q: So the engine won't be open source?
A: That's one of the biggest decisions we're still working on. We want to protect our technology, but at the same time we're looking into licensing options such as MPL or GPL that would still allow the community to use and contribute to the engine.
