Quick progress report

Hey, all!

So looks like recently I hit the 250+ milestone. Not bad for a game that isn’t that far in development.

A new playable build is still a ways off, but for now I do have a few new screenshots to show off of the current state of the overworld.

I’ll be seeing what I can do to optimize it (splitting the treeline into different load chunks seems to be a step in the right direction), so when it is out you can get a feel for a bit of the world.

As for the other to-be-added feature, the battle system, it is still in early stages. I’ll speed it up as best as I can, though I might have to use stand-in sprites from the original until I can make proper replacements.

And as a final note of changes that will happen, I will be removing FF:ERM for the time being. I’ll add it back in a later update, but for now the focus will be more towards what made FNaF World what is best known for.

Though I do think I know who can fill the need for an additional minigame…

‘Till next time!

(Which will hopefully be soon. I make no promises, though, since I’m also working on other FNaF characters and items.)

Next up

So, Plan B: The remainder of tonight will run V1 of a solo OCN mode, with an updated version coming tomorrow during the end of the con.

(And a further refined public release of this later on. If there's interest.)

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Suppose it's rude to come back doing polls without showing some sort of progress for it.

New project is having a fun, early outing.

Still deciding if it's worth committing to a full rebuild, but I at least figured out a better way to handle the party swapping mechanic.

How about we change things up?

I might be having too much fun with this process...

Save file stuff (sidequests, maps and "autosaving") might currently be a troublesome mess, but at least development on OCN is going pretty smooth.

First signs of danger.

While I chip away at the code for XL, I might as well show off the fruits of another thing I had tinkered with: modding custom music into Bionicle Heroes.
