Hello everyone!
We have during the past weeks been working on new content for Heaven’s Point. We have been making new backgrounds, objects and enemies, but these have yet to be implemented into the actual game.
One of the areas we are working on right now is the shot up apartment that you can find in the main hallway outside of your apartment.
Please bare in mind that the image above is still a work in progress and is subject to change before we implement it into the game.
What do you think about the current progress of this background? Are we on the right track? Please answer in the poll below!
Now to the other part of this update; the development progress of Heaven’s Point.
We have been working hard on the demo during the past five months, building the game up from scratch. If you wonder why it took us five months to basically make fifteen minutes of gameplay, the answer is pretty straight forward; building a game from scratch takes a long time. Implementing different elements of the game, testing them out to see what works and what doesn’t work is a long process in itself. On top of all this, each party member of Digital Punch are working full-time jobs, so we are all doing this on our spare time.
Our goal is to develop games full-time since this is our biggest passion! But the reality is that it’s very hard to survive in today’s gaming industry as a small indiegame developer without a publisher or investor backing you up.
We are going to attend a publishing/investor event on September 12th to present ourselves as a team and Heaven’s Point. The whole point of this event is to connect with publishers and investors to see if a collaboration is possible. We are at the moment actively searching for funding so that we can afford to develop Heaven’s Point full-time.
With that being said, we hope you understand our position and excuse us if development of Heaven’s Point goes slow for a while!
