Quintoki- Art Director- My experience so far

Firstly I should say that I am not someone who takes risks. All my life I have stayed on the safe side of the road, metaphorically speaking, and never set myself up for failure. That said, I have had a very worthwhile experience this past year, despite the hardships.

This past year has meant a lot to me. I’ve lost a lot to get to where I am today. So much that I could never have achieved this on my own. Early in 2016 I decided that I would pursue a career in art no matter what it cost me. I have given up everything. Some people who were close to me had given up on me, believing that I was a lost cause. It hurt me a lot. At the same time I had never been happier! I was doing what I had always wanted to! For Six years I would work dead-end jobs and crush my soul with the weight of responsibility of chasing bills.

I moved in with my roommate and longtime friend, Eric (He’s the sole programmer.) It’s been tough keeping up with bills but we’ve been surviving! This has honestly been the most exciting year of my life!

Before this game I was looking to make my way through a patreon account. I was going to make a comic book telling a story that I had been working on since middle school. I was afraid to take on this venture alone. At that time I was approached by Eric! He told me that he would like to make a game in the span of a two month period to see how we would work together. The game took on a life of its own. For every idea there were four or five more! The game just kept getting bigger and bigger but every time it did it was so much better! For every new idea it expanded the game and helped us chase our own potential for what we thought was possible.

This project has been an excellent journey for me so far. I’ve learned so much and I want to continue learning more as this game develops further. In time I will find myself the head of a team of artists. When that happens, I’ll be able to bring all of my dreams to life. It won’t be long now. All it takes is time, patience, and hard work.

I’ll be sure to post in-game art as it rolls out week by week!

Just as Pecaminosa's musicians #improvise this rendition of #LittleSunflower 🌻, so do we improvise with this post you're reading. 😂

What's coming out of your own improvs? 🤔

Shoobies leave a sticky trail of mucus in their wake, which can impede movement for any creature that steps in it.

Today I was setting up the location of the first boss. His name is "Father" and he is the first of the Patagonians. His task is to guard the road to the House.🛡🗡 Bookmark pre-launch page🔖🔖🔖

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

One of the most critical update for Sunblaze demo. Now you are able to pet a cat! Finally!

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Here's a Fredbear sprite i made in Aseprite! I'm pretty proud of this!

(Btw, sorry for the double post! I'll try to post less)

The Authority decided to investigate the Basement and leads to recovering classified documents Fun fact: The building has 928 doors and not 1000 doors. #horror
