Support for new game releases on the HeavyEngine game engine will officially end in August 2026.
As a result, HEAVYBOSS SOFTWARE will begin transitioning to a new engine — HeavyEngine 2, which will be powered by Unreal Engine 5.
Why are we making this change?
The current version of HeavyEngine has reached its technical limits. While it has served us well over the years, future advancements in graphics, lighting, physics, and overall visual quality require a more advanced foundation.
Unreal Engine 5 provides powerful modern technologies that will allow us to create larger, more immersive, and visually impressive games. With HeavyEngine 2, future titles developed by HEAVYBOSS SOFTWARE will be able to achieve a new level of graphical fidelity and technical capabilities.
We understand that Unreal Engine 5 is sometimes criticized by gamers due to optimization issues seen in certain games. However, we believe these problems are not limitations of the engine itself, but rather of how it is implemented.
HEAVYBOSS SOFTWARE is committed to delivering high-performance experiences and plans to address and optimize many of the issues commonly associated with Unreal Engine 5. Our goal is to combine the engine's cutting-edge technology with efficient optimization to ensure smooth gameplay across our future projects.
