After being released on February 26th, 2018, many youtubers started uploading playthroughs of the game (Markiplier and Dawko being notable examples). Some players criticized the game for its flaws which includes the character models and designs, gameplay, bugs, story, and voice acting. The game was praised by most people from the FNaF community and being considered one of the better FNaF fangames of 2018. The game eventually lost interest as time went by, and developers tried to regain traction with different remasters before eventually losing motivation.

After Nicchi/@Blackout1912 's controversy, discussion of the game resurfaced and people pointed out about the game's quality not being as great as people thought during its release. In 2023, > Dormitabis started to gain popularity once again after @uhyeahYT talked about it in one of his videos where he talks about Nicchi's controversy, and theorising the character, Garvey, being a self insert of Nicchi. Uhyeah's video was the final nail of coffin, with tons of other youtubers popularising the controversy, giving the games its unpleasant reputation.
