So there is no longer a [COMPO] version and a [FULL] version; as I was just reading through the comments on the game’s LD page, I noticed that the good folks at Ludum Dare had written this:
“MY GAME CRASHES, IS UNBEATABLE, OR I MADE A TYPO: We allow you to fix crash or win condition bugs after the deadline (in a sense, like “porting” to support more players). We also allow “typo” bugs. I.e. A true that should have been a false, a word that should have been a different word, very tiny changes that you would have caught if you had more sleep. We leave this open to interpretation, but generally speaking your game should be identical to the game you submitted. No new features, just things you messed up last minute. Typos.”
I thought very carefully about whether to go through with making changes, and I’m sure that the changes I’ve made are fair. No new features have been added and all content was still created within the 48 hours, but I have fixed a few things I overlooked in my hurry to upload the game before the deadline, namely:
Accidentally exporting part of the soundtrack as an empty sound
The ending and some bits of the environment not appearing sometimes, though they were fully programmed into the game
As I said, I thought this through and I want to compete fairly, but if you think this goes against the rules, let me know and I’ll re-break it or something.
Thanks for the feedback so far.
