The project has undergone significant changes recently. We've revisited the story, style, and overall direction of the game.
The game is no longer divided into separate parts and branches. Instead, it's becoming a single, cohesive story with a focus on psychological horror. We're moving away from the previous visual contrasts and adopting a darker, more disturbing, and more meaningful style.
The project's name has also been changed. The game is now called Rabbit: Closed Protocol. The new name reflects the story's core theme—control, memory distortion, and the consequences of violence disguised as care.
The plot has been reworked: characters are given a past, motivation, and reasons for their actions. The story is no longer told through a series of scenes—it unfolds through exploration, dialogue, and the environment.
Going forward, we'll focus on developing a full-fledged 2D horror game with adventure elements, character interaction, and atmospheric locations. Due to the project's changing scale and structure, we're also considering switching to a different engine—from Ren'Py to GameMaker—if this would better support the mechanics and atmosphere.
We also plan to release the game on Steam to make it accessible to a wider audience.
Thanks to everyone who's been following the project. Work continues.
