RIP to the Relic Castle forums...

Was shocked to see it wasn't up anymore when I went to share an update.

I've been posting updates to the Battle Gem Ponies project over there since long before the Kickstarter and shift from fangame to indie game.

You'll end up battling in all sorts of locations across Pinto. We made special battle scene backgrounds for each one. (These backgrounds will also appear as your current location on the File Select screen.)

#BattleGemPonies Acts 1-3 are all meant to release this year, each one 10 weeks apart. (Let's see how that goes!)

We started with a very Gen3-esque #pokemon art style for the human characters, but ended up going with a more Gen 4 "Powerpuff" look. Allows for more expressive faces this way! 😄

Take a look at all your Battle Gem Pony facts & figures on the Stats screen! (Here's a snapshot of what the menu looked like in 2015 vs now 📸)

Moves like Wonder Bolt here are an example of the 2010s brony era DNA embedded into this game. ⚡

It was important for us to have multiple save files per game.

One for a first playthrough.

One for experiments and self-imposed challenges.

One for letting someone else play without messing up your main file.
