The extra day for #GBJAM was a fortunate one for the Rogue Boy team, and we made the most we could out of it. Tristan and I were able to finish implementing and testing the Random Map mode which otherwise would have missed the comp’s deadline. I was also able to enhance the tutorial section of the game, add a pause menu, squash several bugs, and make small enhancements to the game that I hope will add a nice touch.
In the ‘Map Gen’ mode, players will face an onslaught of enemies on a series of random battlefields, making use of whatever items they can find. Your health does not increase between waves, however you will be able to find Hearts to restore your health. How many waves can you defeat? I’ll take a combination of skill strategy and luck to overcome the odds as they slowly slip out of your favor…
We have over 100 plays on the original version of Rogue Boy already, thank you so much for your support and for checking out our game! Thank you to everyone who has rated my game and left me a kind comment, and an extra special thanks to everyone who consulted with me while I worked on this project. I hope you all enjoy the complete version of Rogue Boy for #gbjam 4.
