Heyo! Apologies for no ACTUAL devlogs for a month. At this point, devlogs will probably be monthly. This is so that surprises are kept as surprises. However, we are reintroducing Royal Bits. For those unaware, Royal Bits are mini devlogs that release in between big devlogs. It focuses on something rather small, but it should keep you over until the next big piece of info. Now, get ready for THE RUINED!

This is the latest version of the Ruined and this is pretty much what it will look like in the future. It will also probably be the last time you see the Walter sprite as you know it.
—PROGRESS REPORT—
Spriting -
We haven’t made too many sprites, but we do have a few new ones done. Here’s a couple sprites which you might find somewhat interesting.




These all relate to an interesting puzzle, but you’ll find that out for yourself.
Composing -
My buddy Telecon has agreed to become a composer. We don’t have any new tracks to show though.
Coding -
Coding the game has been going rather well. We have a few rooms coded in and several more mapped. The engine has pretty much gotten all the polish we needed to give it, but there’s still some stuff we might have to change.
Battles / Coding continued -
We haven’t been focusing on monsters for a while, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have any news for the battles. We have two fights completed, being Lookit and Froggut. We have a variety of new soul modes to use though, so battles will be a lot spicier. You’ll be seeing the standard red soul mode quite a bit less than the original game. The game currently has twice the amount of modes that Undertale has, but there are around ten or so more additions that will be made. The engine has been tweaked to allow battle backgrounds, as it used to not be able to. Also tweaked it so that enemies will move with the box and won’t show stuff like the background in the battle box. Or, the “bone zone” as we shall now call it.
Scripting -
A version of the script for a good chunk of the Ruined + Tunnels has been created, but it hasn’t really been stuck to.
Other -
We have a rough version of Flowey’s intro coded. It will be polished quite a bit in the final.

Progress this past month has been going rather well. The demo version has a release date of sometime this year. There’s no way the demo will be coming out in 2019. I’ll stop this devlog here, but I’ll probably post another one soon. This next one won’t be a Royal Bit, but will be a decent sized devlog. I didn’t want to go on too long here though, so I’ll see you then.
